Doggybug does not treat to extermination bed bugs.
Once our canine teams have detected the bed bugs, we advise you about the best way
to treat your home or establishment.
We can also provide you with a list of competant companies for you to contact and to choose from.
Our objective is to put you in contact with the most reliable professionals that provide quality services
and can intervene as quickly as possible.

DETECTION AND TREATMENT = CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Doggybug does not offer treatment services because we believe it is
a conflict of interest to inspect and then treat.

DRY STEAM TREATMENT
As with thermal treatment, dry steam treatment uses high temperatures of 180°C to kill bed bugs, larvae and
eggs. With machines that emit dry steam, this treatment may be executed while the client stays in the area.
However to make this treatment effective, it is necessary to target the exact locations and surfaces where
the bed bugs are located. Therefore the necessity of our bed bug dogs for an inspection prior to this treatment.
This treatment is ideal for families with children, pets, elderly persons or persons with respiratory problems.
We recommend the POLTI CIMEX ERADICATOR machine.

THERMAL HEAT TREATMENT
Temperatures of 60°C are sufficient to kill bed bugs, their larvae and eggs.
With this treatment, the rooms, entire home or space of interest are gradually heated
to achieve the temperature of 60°C for about 5 hours. Everyone must leave the areas and the method
is surveyed with computers outside the location.
This thermal heat treatment is almost 100% effective with only one treatment.
It is a very technical treatment and costly, but is able to eliminate bed bugs hidden
in even the most unreachable areas.

CHEMICAL TREATMENT
Professional chemicals used in this kind of treatment (different from the products that you can buy in the store)
are sprayed in the areas. Since they are toxic, it is necessary to leave the premises for at least 6 hours.
You will only be able to return to the treated area 6 or 8 hours after treatment.
Two to three chemical treatments are needed to get to kill bed bugs, eggs and larvae.
In all, it will take about 4 weeks minimum to treat with this method.
If you have children or pets, this treatment is probably not your ideal method for treatment.

COLD TREATMENT
This kind of treatment involves spraying liquids at very low temperatures on the surfaces to be treated.
As with the heat treatment, intense cold kills bed bugs. However, the cold treatment is questionable.
To verify the accuracy of this treatment we recommend you contact us so we can reinspect after
each treatment with our detection canines.
