Just as police officers for canine drug and explosive detection, our dog teams have had an initial training and
continue to train every 3 months with exceptionally qualified trainers that are ex-police and military officers.
It is very important to find a canine detection company that trains and re-certifies regularly, like we do.
Many bed bug detection teams do little to perfect their skills and follow no professional training outside
of a few days in the beginning at the moment they purchased their canine.
Training and recertification is very costly and many cannot afford to spend the time nor the money.

Our highly selected canines receive between 600 and 800 hours of training before even meeting their handler.
The dog and the handler are then paired together and train as a team for another 80+ hours.
At the end of the training, a third party verifies that each canine team is capable of detecting live bed bug scents
and issues a numbered certification valid for 1 year. The certification must be renewed every year.
Our continued training every 3 months consists of 36+ hours.

(a company that trains themselves is not acceptable)
> proof of our weekly training with a logbook

***Certain canine detection companies in France say they are “validated by a notary”,
however experts in the detection of drugs and explosives believe a validation by a notary is not acceptable
since a notary has no knowledge nor training experience about detection canines.
